HFTP Long Island Chapter presented a check for $15,000 to the Metro Long Island Region Make A Wish Foundation

On November 17,2011 HFTP Long Island Chapter presented a check for $15,000 to the
Metro Long Island Region Make A Wish Foundation at its monthly chapter meeting held
at Piping Rock Country Club. The money was raised at its annual fund raising Casino
Night Event held September 8, 2011 at the Village Club at Sands Point. On hand for
the check presentation left to right chapter secretary Veronika Semsakova, Assistant
Controller of Gurneys Inn Resort & Spa. Gary Hodgins,CHAE chapter President and
Controller/CFO of Gurneys Inn Resort & Spa. Janet Digillo, representative of Make A
Wish and Kerri Stern,CPA chapter Vice President and Controller Village Club Sands
Point.

The Long Island chapter meets on the third Wednesday of each month, rotating locations
between the eastern and western ends of Long Island. The agenda begins with a cocktail
reception at 4:30 pm, followed by an educational topic at 5:00 on and concludes with
dinner. The chapter’s goal is to help educate and inform controllers and other hospitality
professionals in a fun and enjoyable manner.
